Motorists left in A3 jams after accidents for second day in a row

a3 accident

4:03pm 17th February 2017
(Updated 7:47pm 17th February 2017)

For a second evening in a row motorists have been left in jams on the A3.

One lane on the southbound carriage is blocked after an accident at the Stoke interchange in Guildford.

Surrey Fire and Rescue tell us three fire engines rushed to the scene after a collision involving a van and two cars.

It says fuel is leaking from the van so two crews are still at the scene.

One person has been taken to hospital.

Congestion is back to the Burpham exit.

Yesterday (February 16) drivers in the opposite direction face huge delays into the night.

It was after a car reportedly hit the central reservation.

There was then a second collision in the queue which fire crews had to attend.

More as we get it.
