Eagle Radio Podcast Directory Frequently Asked Questions

Don't really understand what a podcast is? All the answers are here...

What is a podcast?

A podcast is a bit like a mini radio show that you can listen to through a website or download it to listen on your computer or mp3 player. Each of our podcasts covers a different topic ranging from a weekly news update to what our presenters do when they are not on air. You can also listen to all our celebrity interviews.

How do I listen to a podcast?

From the podcast directory home screen click on the topic you are interested in. Once on that page select the podcast you want to listen to and click the play button. When you do this it will automatically play on the web page. You can also click the link underneath which will allow you to open another window to listen to the podcast.  As some of the files are quite large it may take a couple of seconds before it starts playing.

How do I download a podcast?

The easiest way to download your favourite podcasts is through iTunes. If you do not have iTunes you can download it here.

When in the iTunes store, search for Eagle Radio in the Podcasts. All our podcasts will come up. You can either listen to them there or subscribe. If you subscribe and download them you will then be able to transfer the podcasts to your mp3 player to listen to wherever you are.

What does “Subscribe using iTunes” mean?

Subscribing to a podcast means that every time we upload a new podcast it will automatically download to your computer through iTunes. This means you do not need to worry about missing a weekly update as it will be there for you when you open iTunes on your computer.

You can also subscribe through our website wherever you see this icon. itunes-podcast16

Do I need to pay for your podcasts?

No. All our podcasts are free to listen to and download.

Can I use the audio from your podcasts or host them on my website?

All the audio in our podcasts is copyright of Eagle Radio Ltd and cannot be used without prior permission from us.

What is an RSS feed?

An RSS feed lets you view the podcasts in a list and can then be listened to through a third-party media player (such as Real Player or Windows Media Player). If for any reason you cannot listen to the podcast on the website try listening to them this way. You can also subscribe to the RSS feed and like iTunes, this will tell you when a new podcast has been uploaded. You can use an RSS feed reader or Outlook Express to view your RSS feeds.
