From Friday 9 December to Sunday 8 January, PG took to the Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre for a special performance of Aladdin in Pantomime!
You can still catch up with the highlights of his PG's weight-loss challenge, Fit For Panto, as he tried to lose weight ahead of the rehearsals which began on the 21st of November.
Surrey and Hampshire’s favourite breakfast show host, Eagle Radio’s Peter Gordon came to the stage in a glorious flurry of fabulous frocks as Guildford’s magnificent Panto Dame, Widow Twankey.
Making all your wishes come true, award-winning actress, singer and musical theatre performer Janie Dee starred as the Genie.
Janie has won the Olivier, Evening Standard and Critics' Circle awards for Best Actress; the Obie and Theatre World awards for Best Newcomer; and the UK Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Musical.
This year she starred in the West End transfer of the Broadway hit Hand to God, which was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Comedy, and performed in Shakespeare at the Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the legendary Hollywood Bowl.
Joining Janie on stage, direct from his residence at London’s foremost cabaret room The Crazy Coqs, supreme cabaret performer and ultimate Panto villain Kit Hesketh-Harvey returned to Guildford as Abanazar.
Following her captivating performance in the West End production of War Horse, Emma Thornett will play the title role of Aladdin this Christmas.
We hope you had your raincoats at the ready! Armed with water pistols and custard pies galore, Panto favourite Jamie Brook loved entertaining you as lovable Wishee Washee.
Attempting to bring order to the chaos of the Chinese Laundry, PC Pongo was played by none other than film star Ray Griffiths.
Guildford School of Acting graduate Charlotte O'Rourke sparkled as Princess Jasmine this Christmas.
Directed by Gerry Tebbutt and choreographed by Jill Francis, with spectacular costumes, extravagant sets and sequins aplenty, this stunning all-singing, all-dancing cast couldn't wait for you to join them on a magic carpet ride adventure.
We hope you enjoyed visiting the world of Aladdin with PG and the Yvonne Arnaud Crew as much as we did!
