Wings of Love is the brand new themed aviary at Birdworld proudly sponsored by Eagle Radio and housing a beautiful collection of black cheeked Lovebirds. The newly located and enlarged aviary is part of a broader conservation project in which the Farnham-based attraction plans to develop a breeding programme for the lovebirds, which are an endangered species. As the radio station that loves Surrey & Hampshire, we have been working with the staff at Birdworld to create a romantically-themed area of the park. Wings of Love was officially opened on Valentine's Day, 14th February 2012 by Eagle Radio Breakfast show hosts Peter Gordon & Breakfast Bev and station mascot Eggbert the Eagle. As well as being a fabulous place to take the family for a day out, Birdworld is the perfect place for a romantic date, and now `Wings of Love’ provides an extra-special reason for courting couples to visit. The new aviary has been purposely located in a quiet, landscaped corner of the park , with an attractive bench and pergola offering a perfect view of the most romantic birds in the world.
You can adopt a Lovebird for yourself or as a gift for a partner or loved one. Prices start from £19.95 and include a valentines card, adoption of a Lovebird for 1 year, adoption certificate, fridge magnet, admission ticket(s) to Birdworld and your name on the Birdworld Adoptions Board. |
