Warning of clothes donation 'con'
People in Surrey are being warned against donating clothes to a bogus charity.
A leaflet's being distributed under the name of W & W Help Ltd, asking for unwanted clothing, footwear and household linen.
But the company was dissolved in March this year for failing to submit accounts.
Surrey County Council says the 'donated' goods are sold abroad for a profit.
CPS in Surrey rated as 'fair' in independent inspection
A report on Surrey's Crown Prosection Service rates its current performance as 'fair' - ranking it second lowest out of four criteria.
While the service has improved from a 'poor' position two years ago, the report found its criminal conviction rate is still below the national average.
It also found improvements need to be made on admin - as well as informing victims of the state of their cases.
Jury deliberates Surrey murder
The jury in the case of a car salesman from Woking who's alleged to have strangled his partner and set fire
to her body have retired to consider their verdicts.
The prosecution claims 41 year old Alan Jermey killed Kirsty Wilson, after she told him she was leaving him.
The couple had two daughters.
34 year old Kirsty had been having an affair with her boss for over a year.
He denies murder.
Camberly fight leaves one man in hospital
A man's suffered facial injuries after a fight in Camberly on Wednesday night.
Police were called to London Road, at around 2.30am after reports of a fight.
The man in his 30s was taken to Frimley Park Hospital - it's thought he was hit by a car.
Soldier from Welsh Guards killed
A soldier from Aldershot's 1st Battalion Welsh Guards has been killed in an explosion in southern Afghanistan.
A soldier from Wiltshire's 2nd Royal Tank Regiment also died in the blast which happened on an operation in central Helmand Province.
Their families have been told. No further details have been released.
