Work Experience at Eagle Radio
The Academy is now full until September 2010. Please read for further information on our criteria for joining The Academy.
At Eagle Radio we run a volunteer scholarship scheme called 'The Academy'.

Each year we look for 10 volunteers for Eagle Radio and our sister station, County Sound Radio.
If you would like to apply for a place then please read our strict criteria below.
YOU MUST:
be 18 years old or over / Perform a satisfactory interview / Hold a full driving licence / Are studying a recognised media/journalist course, or aiming to find permanent work in radio having experience already in hospital or student radio / Live in or near the catchment area
The Opportunities:
All Academy Students must be able to spend one early morning (6-10am for 96.4 Eagle Radio or 7-9am for County Sound) for a minimum of 9 months beginning mid October.
Eagle Academy - 5 x Production Places Available / 6-10am one day per week for The Peter Gordon Breakfast Show / Must have basic knowledge of Adobe Audition.
County Sound Academy - 5 x Runner Places Available - 7-9am one day per week for Dave Johns Breakfast Show / Assisting Presenter (Answering Phones, Production Opportunities & General Runner Roles)
News Academy - Broadcast Journalism Course Students can apply for Work Experience to Head of News, Saffron da Silva here.

Your CV and letter will be vetted & you may be invited for interview
