James Posner Head of Corporate, Community & Education James started his radio career 6 years ago at a small coastal radio station in Somerset. After a year or so he wanted to develop his interests and career at a larger radio station and moved internally to Eagle Radio in 2009. James is passionate and experienced about how radio can work and impact the communities we live and work in. James is Head of Corporate, Community & Education which carries out various projects and programmes within our community. James is a keen guitarist (note “keen”….not “good”!) is interested in music, the creative arts, local beers, winter sports and cooking. James enjoys spending time in the countryside with his wife Samantha who is a private midwife in Chelsea and their daughter Ava, who is starting at primary school. |
Barrie Funnell Finance Manager Barrie got involved in Eagle Radio in 1997 and has been unable to shake off the love of local radio since. He was born in Camberley and educated at Pine Ridge, Cordwalles and Collingwood before entering the big world of work. Barrie is a Trustee of Eagle Radio Trust and also is heavily involved with coaching both football and cricket to the younger generation in Surrey Heath.Has a very responsible job in keeping both Paul Marcus and Peter Gordon in check... |
Emily Hay
Head of Sales
Following success in both Recruitment and Press-advertising roles, Emily has found her home working in the exciting world of radio and now heads up the successful sales team at Eagle Radio. With a father in Property Development, Emily moved around the Country at an early age, finally settling in Surrey at age 8. Growing up living in the villages of Peaslake and Cranleigh she is a country girl at heart but now calls Guildford town centre her home. Although passionate about Surrey and the business within it , Emily still wants to see the world, and enjoyed a sabbatical in 2010 to Asia, seeing the delights of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. Most of her spare time is spent with her head in an atlas or website planning the next adventure.
