Managing Director

Passionate about music and radio, Paul was appointed Managing Director at his local radio station in October 2007.

Educated locally at Hall Grove in Bagshot before moving onto Ravenscote and then Tomlinscote School in Frimley, Paul currently lives near Camberley and is married to Kate. They have two children (Holly & Rebecca) and two cats (Tinkerbell & Gizmo) who were both adopted from the RSPCA in Chobham (The cats not the children!!)

In 2008 Paul established the Eagle Radio Charity Trust which supports small charities and non-profit making organisations in Surrey and Hampshire.

In his spare time, Paul follows the fortunes of Aldershot town football club where he is also a Trustee of the Club's Community Scheme.

Programme Director

Clocking up over 20 years in radio, PG started out as station director of his University station in the late 80s which included a stint with the BBC. After moving to commercial radio (originally as a sport and news journalist) he was part of the launch team of Eagle Radio in 1996 (and has presented breakfast ever since), eventually becoming Programming Director. Peter is now responsible for the output of both Eagle Radio and Eagle Extra. He is also Deputy Group Programme Director for UKRD (Eagle/County's parent company) which runs stations throughout the UK.


Anthony Zahra

Anthony Zahra is head of news at Eagle Radio, and had the following to say about reporting on the stories that matter in Surrey & Hampshire:

Chris Howell

Community Programme Manager

Chris started at Eagle Radio as work experience after training as a teacher. After a spell working at radio stations around the South East and London Chris returned to his roots taking a full time role at Eagle Radio. Having worked as a project manager, creative writer and online content producer the past few years has seen Chris help grow Eagle Radio's Education team.  
With the Eagle Radio family ever growing  Chris has taken up the role of Community Programme Manager looking after the shows on the other stations Eagle Extra and eagle3. As a failed musician Chris loves getting involved in choosing the music for eagle3 and listening to the local and unsigned bands  on both eagle3 and Eagle Radio's Live Sessions. 

Barrie Funnell

Finance Manager

Barrie got involved in Eagle Radio in 1997 and has been unable to shake off the love of local radio since. He was born in Camberley and educated at Pine Ridge, Cordwalles and Collingwood before entering the big world of work.  Barrie is a Trustee of Eagle Radio Trust and also is heavily involved with coaching both football and cricket to the younger generation in Surrey Heath.Has a very responsible job in keeping both Paul Marcus and Peter Gordon in check...

Emily Hay

Head of Sales

Following success in both Recruitment and Press-advertising roles, Emily has found her home working in the exciting world of radio and now heads up the successful sales team at Eagle Radio. With a father in Property Development, Emily moved around the Country at an early age, finally settling in Surrey at age 8. Growing up living in the villages of Peaslake and Cranleigh she is a country girl at heart but now calls Guildford town centre her home. Although passionate about Surrey and the business within it , Emily still wants to see the world, and enjoyed a sabbatical in 2010 to Asia, seeing the delights of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. Most of her spare time is spent with her head in an atlas or website planning the next adventure.
