96.4 Eagle Radio and County Sound Radio are looking for a new journalist to cover the drive-time shift. As an applicant you should be ready to:
- Craft bulletins for two different audiences every hour
- Read live bulletins on location
- Sit in a McLaren F1 Car
- Be part of a team….not just a member of it
- Attend prominent court hearings and inquests
- Understand our company’s core values
- Be aware that we are overlapped by the busy London radio market,
- Understand that commercial radio news in Surrey and Hampshire is just different,
- Be on your own in the newsroom,
- Work for a Top 100 Sunday Times Best Company,
- Be as interested in the bottom line of the business as you are in the top line of a story.
So if you have:
A great voice,
Good news judgement,
Sound legal awareness
And if you can:
Write engaging and creative copy,
Use audio creatively,

A brand new training solution that works with industry professionals has been launched at Eagle Radio's studio complex.
Director Jo Cassey said : The radio industry is rapidly changing and it is essential that individuals develop their skills base to enable them to enrich and enliven their radio career.
