Eagle Radio's Community Media Hubs - Media Release
Make your own community radio show.
Eagle Radio have been awarded funding from The Skills Funding Agency to run Community Media Hubs. This means we will be running a series of free courses for people aged over 18 in towns in Surrey and Hampshire. These courses cover how to make a radio show along with gaining digital and social media skills.
What are Community Hubs?
A Community Hub is a fancy way of saying making radio shows in specific area. The Hubs we have running at the moment are in Guildford, Camberley and Woking. If you're over the age of 18 and want to make a radio show about the area you live in, we will run a series of workshops on how to present and make a radio show. These shows will then be broadcast on our sister station, Eagle Extra. The courses are run by presenters and producers form Eagle Radio and tutors from Guildford College.
If you haven’t used an Adult Learning Centre before they are wonderful places full of interesting people participating in a wide variety of short courses ranging from Stained Glass making to Cookery for Men. And now you can do radio and social media.
