Find out what the we've been talking about on the The Peter Gordon Breakfast Show

Wednesday 22nd

22nd May 2013

Happy Wednesday! Another morning of fun and frolics on the breakfast show. This morning we were asking you to hunt for the oldest thing in your house...

Chris said 'I have a coin from 1799'

Jo text in to say 'I have a 120 year old tortoise'

Sarah in Church Crookham said 'the oldest item in my house is a Victorian mantle clock presented to my great, great grandfather in 1890'

Then Ally went that one step further. She got in touch to say she had a fossil that was 400 million years old!

Beat that!

We had a pretty decent score on the £1000 minute. It was a 6 out of 10 for Chris from Bracknell. You can play along online here and see how you would have done and then go for the £1000 yourself tomorrow morning at 8.15am.

PG is flying solo tomorrow so give him some stick for me l ;)  and I'll catch you Friday, until then...

21st May 2013

This morning we told you about a survey out today that says many of us would live without things like basic meals or even our house than be without our mobile phone! How shocking is that? During the study, 2,571 adults were asked what would they rather live without than their phone.

The top 10 items were:

1. 'Adult cuddles' – 94%

2. TV/Film – 82%

3. Car – 71%

4. My partner – 62%

5. Bed – 55%

6. Money – 47%

7. Basic meals – 45%

8. House – 32%

9. Any other human contact – 23%

10. Own children – 9%

Where on earth did they find those 2,571 people!! In other news Wayne and Coleen Rooney announced the arrival of their second baby. Named... wait for it... Klay...

and we had our best score in a while on the £1000 minute. Well done to Andy from Camberley who managed to score 7 out of 10. You can play along online here and see how you would have done then if you fancy your chances, why not play for real tomorrow morning at 8.15am.

We will of course have another chance for you to win a prize pack worth £3400 when we play the Mystery Voice at 7.15am, so make sure you join us tomorrow morning from 6am, until then...

Monday 20th May

20th May 2013

It was another super duper Maths Monday this morning on the £1000 minute and yet again, no winner. Not even close. It was a 2 out of 10 for Heather from Aldershot. Play along online here and see how you would have done and then why not have a go for real tomorrow morning when we play with general knowledge questions at 8.15am. We MUST be due a winner soon!

This morning we also revealed Britains favourite flower. It is... dum, dum, dum...

The Rose! Yes, thirty per cent of Britons said the rose was their top growing plant, followed by fuschias (23 per cent) and lavender (20 per cent). Geraniums (19 per cent) and tomato plants (eight per cent) made up the top five.

Now how do you fancy a nexus tablet, a video camera, £100 of lego and about another £2500 worth of prizes. Well just tell us who this is and you could be winning it all when we play the Mystery Voice tomorrow morning at 7.15am.

It's all go and there is loads of winning to be done, so make sure you join PG and I tomorrow morning from 6am, until then...

Just incase you ever wondered, I do not work with Gok Wan. Nope, I am blessed, yes blessed to work with a canary in a tracksuit that you and I both know as PG.

photoThat man and I jumped into the shower this morning at 6.15am to enjoy a little sing song. We call it The Early Morning Shower. Well done to Urmilla from Farnborough who managed to guess we were singing Blondie's One Way Or Another. She won herself a night at the movies.

Unfortunately Scott from Bracknell didn't do quite so well on the £1000 minute. He only managed a 3 out of 10 when he played this morning. You can play along online here and see how you would have done and then why not go for the £1000 for real on Monday morning when we have a Maths Monday £1000 minute at 8.15am. Get swotting up this weekend :)

Pete's off to Scotland for the weekend with Mrs PG so he may come back talking like a Krankie, I have my daughters 7th birthday party so I may come back with a few extra grey hairs! Whatever you are up to have fun and join PG and I Monday morning from 6am, until then...
