Adam is not only a radio presenter, he is also a classically trained pianist, music teacher and, more recently, a qualified glider pilot, which means he knows a lot about hot air... When he was little, he wanted to be an airline pilot, and flying gliders is the next best thing (sort of). He has flown from many airfields across the UK, and can often be found floating around the skies of Alton and Bordon when he takes off from Lasham Airfield.

Adam has now completed more than 150 takeoffs (and the same number of landings, touch wood) and over 40 flights as a solo pilot.
